Check the EGR Valve located underneath the carburater on the passenger side of vehivle, if it is clogged it will not operate properly as the vacuum tries to open and close it, take it off and clean it with Blster and/or soak it until it frees up . adcar1970@Yahoo.com TONY
down by the carb
You may have clogged jet in the carb, or in the small fuel filter. Check everything from the tank down to carb, and if necessary take carb apart.
If it has a carb. (not fuel injected) one possible cause could be a bad accelerator pump (located in carb.).
on a Mazda 626 there is a fuel pump relay check to see if you have a power signal from the relay to the pump, if so make sure there is power to the pump.
not getting gas. clean\carb rebulid needed
Hitachi 2V is listed for the 323 1.5Ltr E5 engine (1981-1985).
if you hav fuel injection, id say its in the gas tank, if not follow gas line from the carb.
Carb.? bad needle seat valve? Float needs adjustment?
Left hand side of the block towards the back, just follow the hoses off the carb.
Unless you modify the intake manifold with some welding an adapter plate is required to install a Weber or Holley 5200 carb on a Mazda B2200 or B2000. The adapter plate for the Weber 32/36 will work to install the Holley 5200 as well. See the attached links for additional information.
The Fuel filter is located on the firewall, next to the brake master cylinder and right behind and below the carb.
The air filter goes inside the air cleaner housing and keeps dust and road dirt out of the carb and engine.
