The Keycode is printed on the Remote Entry module. This module is located behind the dash near the steering column. The module is either gray or natural depending when the Engineers found a cost savings. So basically, lay on your back in the driver's compartment and look directly up. The module is mounted sideways so you'll need a flashlight to read the code.
Additional info. Once you press the keycode and the driver's door lock actuates, press the 3/4 button and all doors will unlock. Pressing 1/2 and 3/4 at the same time will lock all doors.
I was the lead engineer for the program.
Another answer that I just found might be for regular 4 door Explorers says that up to 2001 the code is in the jack area of the rear of the vehicle and 2002 and up it is behind the seat buckle location on the middle pillar behind the passenger seat at the base, on the security module. There is a 5 code number there.
