I wish to change the left side tie rod on a punto mk1 as is working loose, consequently wear took place around close by the steering rack body. Can a bush etc be placed for a new tie rod to prevent a similar occurrence.

There are no timing marks but pins that are put through the head and into the camshaft locking it in the right position. They are dealer parts but you can get aftermarket ones. The crank is then positioned using a rod down the spark plug hole. Again this is available aftermarket. There are 2, one for cyl 1 and one for cyl2

A ferrule is the part of the rod that joins the sections of the rod together. The hollow (female) portion at the end of a rod section receives the male end of the next section.
you put I.G.G.Y on the end of the rod
Hes a great player but I doubt if hes going to get paid 30+ Million..
The ball joint should be permanently in the tie rod end. If it is bad, you have to replace the entire tie rod end.
The tie rod end is the ball joint that connects the steering arm to the wheel hub.
