Chances are its a bad throttle position sensor or mass airflow sensor. To check the mass airflow sensor simply unplug it & run the car if it acts the same then probably the tps.
idles at 3000 will not go down 1993 grand prix gtp
check for unhooked vacuum lines
check your timing & up your idle a little
I noticed rough idle on a 2001 MGM and what seemed like transmission slip while going uphill. I replaced the spark plugs. Both problems went away.
A good chance its the Idle Control Valve
Required for what ? Factory specifications call for a minimum of 13 psi at warm idle. Approximately 10-30 psi at idles and 40-70 psi at 55 mph is considered normal.
The throttle plate in the throttle body may be stuck and needs to be freed up and/or lubricated
Hey ya i have a 1994 grand am and i was having this same problem. What i did what replace the spark plugs. After i did this i took the car and and when i floor it no longer stutters when accelerating.
find the cable linked to your gas pedal it should have 1 or 2 nuts on it to adjust your idle
could be a vacuum leak
