replace O ring
depends where around the tranny the leak is
To fix a standard transmission leak on a 1993 Ford F250, simply take it to a mechanic.
The transmission lineÊleaking at the radiator connection needs to be fix immediately as soon as the driver experience this, isolating the source of leak to avoid major problems. If the leak is found this has to be covered with the finger to avoid further leakage, for repair it needs to tighten the pan bolts, and replacing the output seal.
it doesnt have one, it is an electronic speedometer
No. Several Things Go Wrong With Speedometers. Cable Break, Plastic Gear In The Back Of Speedometer Housing, Or In The Housing Of The Transmission. But No It Will Not Hurt The Transmission.
Probably the speed sensor on the transmission.
did you check the speed sensor on the side of the transmission?
Try replacing the speedometer switch on the transmission.. that's probably your culprit.
1st you need to know where the leak is. The only time a copper fitting or brass fitting will fix a leak is in the watersupply connection.
To fix the inoperative speedometer you will need to replace the speed sensor. It is located on the side of transmission and has 2 wires coming out of it.
Remove transmission and replace front seal.
No, thay have never made anything in a can that will fix something. If you add stop leak to your transmission it will mess up the seals and you will have to have the transmission rebuilt. It would be best to just fix the leak and a whole lot cheaper.
