Replace the shower valve (faucet).

I would call a plumber to check it out. Because there may be another reason, it depends on other things besides faucet. Like a crimped water line under slab floor, if you have copper water lines, i have seen the cooper pipe go all the way into a tee and block off the outlet to the faucet. If it has been like i have mentioned above it would have been like this since day one. It would help if people would tell how old there house is and how long has the problem been going on. And yes it could be very much the faucet itself if it just starting do it.

IN ADDITION:

This also depends if the shower has a mixer or tap (faucet) installed, as the question didnt stipulate this. The rest of the house could have taps and the shower have a mixer. Mixers need a minimum pressure of 400 kpa from the hot water tank (geyser) to work. If the hot water tank is of a lower pressure this would explain for its poor performance.

How could someone increase the water pressure in their shower?

i found a great website for discount shower heads, but it also has a great support section with step by step pictures and instructions, including tips on increasing water pressure. htp://www.showerstore.com

No pressure for hot water in shower?

More than likely a blockage, leak, or bad installation. If some other showers, toilets, and sinks are having problems with running water then it's likely a problem with the entire water system, usually bad parts or a leak.

What is the minimum water pressure required to install a shower?

This does vary slightly according to the shower, but for a shower without a pump, using a gravity feed, a water pressure of at least 0.1 bar is recommended. If your water pressure is low you will need to install a pumped shower.

How much water flows from the shower head per minute?

An average flow rate cannot be determined as there are many different shower heads and each house in every country has different water pressure and not everyone may use full pressure when using a shower. But, approximately said that the average flow rate of shower water 2.5 gallons per minute at a water pressure of 80 pounds per square inch.

What causes minimal water flow from a shower?

Usually clogged shower heads. Turn water off and shower off. Screw shower nozzle off by hand or with pipe wrench. Turn water and shower on with nozzle head off if water flows clean or replace nozzle. If water pressure is still too low with nozzle off check shut off valve and open valve more. Make sure main water shut off for your house is open enough to allow adequate water pressure.

Why is it bad to flush the toilet when someone is in the shower?

Because it effects the water pressure of the shower. This causes the temperature of the water in the shower to also change.

How do you keep shower temperature from changing when someone flushes the toilet or uses another sink?

Your water pressure is low. Consequently, when cold water is diverted to another application such as a toilet or a sink, the amount of cold water available at the shower mixing valve decreases as the low pressure is unable to keep up with the shower's demand. This causes a hotter mixture at the shower head. The solution is to either improve the cold water supply to the shower or to replace the shower control valve with a temperature compensating type. Pressure balancing is the cheapest and simply changes the shower temperature according to the pressure in the cold and hot water lines. When the toilet or sink is used, reduced pressure to the shower valve is detected and the valve reduces the hot water pressure, thereby maintaining the temperature. The more sophisticated approach is a thermostatic shower control valve. These are significantly more expensive, but will not reduce the pressure at the shower head (a drawback of the pressure balancing valve). The thermostatic valve would be required when one shower control valve is operating several shower heads. Moen, Kohler and Delta all make both types of control valves. They can be readily obtained from a local plumbing supply house.

Why would you lose pressure in your shower head when the pressure in the tub is fine?

There is a screen and/or a water saver in the shower head. The screen may be plugged with sediment from in the water.

What could be wrong if when you are showering and another faucet is turned on the shower water cools?

Its a loss in water pressure to the shower.

If you replaced both cartridges on a shower valve due to very low water pressure and still no water pressure you removed cartridges and turned water on and water pressure is good?

May be build up in the valve itself or the shower head.

Are there any shower filters that don't lower water pressure?

I will say you can take a look at aquasana shower water filter.

How can you get even pressure from hot and cold to a shower?

if all the pipes in the house are the same size the easy answer is adjust the outflow valve on the hotwater tank until it matches the cold water pressure.
