HOW TO REPLACE THE FAN SWITCH ON A 2005 Hyundai SANTA FE.
1. Slide out the ashtray. On either side of the ashtray opening you will find 2 screws. (remove them)
2. Reach into the ashtray hole and carefully but forcefully pull out and down on the control panel. It should come forward about 4 inches or so.
3. Get hold of the top corners of the panel and pull straight out to disengage the clips at the upper corners.
4. Reach behind the panel once out and disconnect the 3 wiring harness connectors from the rear of the panel. This should allow you to have the entire panel free in your hand. Turn it around (Looking at the back of the panel).
Centered on the fan switch itself you will see 1 small light with 2 wires running to it. Twist the socket 90 degrees to remove it for the new switch.
5. Remove 1 small screw from top center (back) of the switch assembly. Now twist the switch assembly clockwise (from the back) paying attention to release the small tab that locks it into place. Pull straight out on the switch assembly and the front knobs will fall off in your hand.
6. Reassembly is just the reverse order of the removal. This entire process should take no more than 20 to 30 minutes and save you about $75.00.
Because there's a short in the system somewhere.

A bad relay in the fan's circuit could cause this. I have a 94 Hyundai Scoupe and I just had to replace the thermo switch attached at the bottom of the radiator. Had the same problem. Fan wouldn't go off....ever.
Check your thermostat switch.
it should be in the shifter.
The fan does not have a switch - the thermostat switch runs the fan.
The cooling fan temperture relay is stuck closed. Replace the replay.
Depending on what type of fan, the fan control switch can be located on the wall for a ceiling fan. Each type of fan will have a different location for the fan control switch.
Either your engine is running hot or the fan switch in the radiator has failed or the relay is stuck.
First, you have to change the ECM settings.
