I have a 2004 Jeep Cherokee. My driver's side window stopped working but I could still hear the motor turning. Two weeks later, the front passenger side window did the same thing. It turns out, I needed to replace the window regulator and motor (it comes as one piece). The mechanic told me it would be $250 per window to fix. He said the part would be about $200 for him to get and then $50 for labor. I went on eBAY and found the part for my front driver's side window, brand new, for $57. I ordered it and a friend and I installed it. She had done a window in a Honda before so, we went on her experience and then great instructions we got here: http://jeepin.com/features/wj_window_regulator/ We got it installed and it works great! I'm going to do my passenger side window next.
