If the display is out, but the radio operates otherwise, the radio has failed.

I don't believe you can display both the radio station and the clock at the same time. With the radio on push the "CLK" button, that will display the time and I believe when you change radio stations it will display the station # temporarily before returning to the clock display.

1.Turn the vehicle's key to the "on " position. 2. Press and hold the present buttons (on your radio) 1 and 6 at the same time. 3 Turn on the radio. - a 10 digit serial number will appear on the radio display. There will be 10 characters in the radio serial #. A U followed by 4 numbers and a L followed by 4 numbers. (Example, your display will indicate, U5132, and than L2134. so, document the numbers, which is your radio serial # 5. Call local Acura dealer to ask for code. you have to provide them a serial # of the radio, it is FREE. I did these steps just an hour ago, it works.

There is a code inside the cover of the folder of books that came with the car and an instruction manual of how to put the code into the car

its in the owners manuel it is not very hard.

Switch the radio on and go for a run or a shopping trip. After several minutes the message 'err code' will switch to 'code'. enter the code via the left and right arrows (the numbers will be displayed on the radio) after each correct number display press the '1' on the radio to move to the next number. When all 4 numbers are set it will automatically start the radio.

The radio display is usually tied to the dash board lights. As you raise or lower the illumination on the dash, the radio lights should change. During the day (with your headlights off), the radio display is at full brightness so it is easier to read in daylight.

User Avatar

check the fuse on the wires on your radio, there is a separate wire for the display lights that should be wired to your dash lights

If you mean to insert the RADIO CODE: - the battery (on the car) must be charged or new; - insert the key in the ignition and turn it on the first level; - push the button ON/OFF of the radio; - you will have 4 lines on the display; - learn the code from the label you got together with the car's documents; - push the buttons located under each line of the display, so many time until you get the requested number; - after you have the 4 numbers on the display push the arrow "right" and the radio will start normally.

you dont. it is self contained within the radio there are no bulbs to replace. radio replacement with a aftermarket radio is a cheaper solution the rediculos cost of a new factory radio or to have a electronics repair place fix the display

There are many reasons that could cause the radio to not work. There could be a wiring issue, or a part may be broken.

I'm pretty sure that they are individual depending on serial number on the radio itself? Hope this helps, SJT (sebbyfire)

User Avatar

to remove the radio first tkae out the 4 grub screws on the front then insert the radio removal tool and it should then be able to be pulled forward and released

User Avatar

Remove the radio from the dashboard. Then post the radio make+model plus all the letters+numbers on any labels, barcodes or stamped in the metal casing. This information can then be used to see if a code can be calculated
