How do you fix the rear wiper on a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee from getting stuck on the lip of the rear window?

There is a little black stopper there, known as a ramp in the parts catalog. It stops the wiper arm and blade from going to low and getting stuck on the lip. The part number is 55155124 and goes for about $17.5, depending on the dealership. However, it is not unheard of somebody placing a larger size wiper blade if they are out of stock and unaware of the consequences.
