Remove front grille, drain water and remove radiator. Remove all belts, remove timing cover and crankshaft dampner. Removes distributor. Timing gear on older models was pressed onto camshaft (not sure about 90 model trucks) . If gear is pressed on , you have to pull the camshaft out and have a machine shop press it off for you and have the new camshaft gear pressed on. no chain only gears in m,y 94 f-150 I dont think they press on so no need to remove front grill maybe in alittle different order also
