the light in the display is probly burnt out. if you take the radio out you can take the top off it and the light is right at the display. you can take it out with a screwdriver. sometimes the light is just loose and will still work but if you need a new one you can get it at www.corvetteradios.com. hope that will help you out.
there is a small bulb inside the radio ,it is probably burned out
you must re enter the security code for the radio to work
Find out what fuse(s) are for your radio in a repair manual. Check them, if nothing is wrong, its probably a radio issue. Try disconnecting the positive battery cable, letting the car sit for about five minutes, and then connect it again. If a sensor or something was overloaded, it should reset itself. If that doesn't work than I'd get it checked out, because im clueless.
No
Is the radio playing? If so, it could be the bulb is burned out, or the grounding needs to be checked out. Replace all the fuses even if they seem not blown it worked for me!
if you are referring to the stock radio... i think you have to take off the front part of the radio... if its possible at all to replace them ==Another answer== I just pulled the front off a spare stock Delco radio from my '96 (a few plastic clips around the perimeter let it come out) There is one obvious bulb behind what would be the station/time display. Getting to it is a mystery as it's behind a plastic shield that appears to be fastened to the PC board. The lights behind the pre-set buttons are not obvious because there is a PC board right behind the front panel of the radio. If I recall correctly, I replaced this radio because A. the station/clock display didn't work, and B. because either the pre-set buttons didn't light up, or maybe just because the plastic coating over them was damaged. I found a used perfectly working replacement on Ebay for about $30.
The factory tires and rims from a 2001 Pontiac grand am cannot work properly on a 2003 Pontiac grand am.
Bad fuse
Any of the sirius radio models will work fine in that type of vehicle.
You can buy a new one from here: <a href="http://www.cars.baigoods.com/" target="_blank" >Car Electronics</a>
Loose wire?
Did the old radio have any sound? Do you get a strange code on the radio display indicating that you are locked out? You might have to pull the radio back out and make sure that the speaker connection plug is plugged in securely.
== == i had the same problem on my 2003. i fixed it by taking the radio completely out of the dash and dismantling the front face of it. the lightbulb connector on the screen display was loose. you actually have to do it in your car to get the light to work. just slowly rotate it til it turns on while you have your car on ac. either you can trust it where it is after it comes back on or you can hot glue it.
I have a 2003 grand prix GT and the unlock code is 1040. use the hours and minutes and then press AM/FM. wait and it should work.
If it looks the same it will probably work.
check the fuse in the fuse box
probly not
The best way to fix a radio and odometer display that doesn't work is to check the fuses. When you replace the bad fuse then the lights should work in your dash.
