While just about every franchise is different, many are established much the same way. An entrepreneur purchases the brand name from the company in an involved process that involves ongoing communication with the parent company during the operation. With a franchise, you are typically under the general authority of the company, though you may be allowed freedoms depending on the company.

What is the worlds fastest diesel truck?

the JCB dieselmax is the fastest diesel at bon. salt flats in 2006 top speed in excess of 350 mph robb ^ That isn't a truck Actually the world's fastest diesel truck, according to the Guinness Book of World Records, is the Bandag Bullet - owned by Frank Gaffiero from Australia. Average speed for the truck was 182.5km/h which smashed the prior record by 26km/h! This was broken at the Bundaberg Air Show in Queensland, Australia in 2007 (if I remember correctly!) - I have seen this awesome truck in action and I believe this record will stand for some time yet!

Whats the fastest truck in the world?

The HSV Maloo R8 is the fastest truck in the world. This truck averages 168.7 mph. A few more sites to choose from. The Bandag Bullet set the record for a conventionally powered truck, achieving an average speed of 182.14 kph over one kilometre from a standing start. The Bullet took just 19.76 seconds to cover the distance, reaching a calculated terminal speed of 305.5 kilometres per hour. This easily eclipses the existing record held by a Swedish manufacturer and set in September 2001 of 155.7 kph over the same distance. * http://www.bandag.com.au/thebandagbullet.htm * http://jalopnik.com/cars/notag/meet-the-fastest-diesel-powered-drag-pickup-329899.php* http://www.autoworld.com/news/Ford/FastestTruck.htm

What does the term capped tires mean?

You see these often on heavy duty commercial trucks. A brand new tire is referred to as a "virgin". Once a tire gets worn down to the DOT minimum, get punctured to a point where cords are exposed, badly cupped or worn out-of-round, or pretty much anything which isn't sidewall damage or a blowout, that tire can be sent to a number of manufacturers (e.g., Michelin, Bandag, Goodyear, etc.) and they'll cut off the original cap, and replace it with a new cap. These tires tend to be less expensive than virgin tires, plus, contrary to popular belief, one time recaps on virgin casings are as reliable as virgin tires (it's when you get into two- and three-time recaps that you encounter problems), so long as the operator(s) maintain proper tire pressure.
