Actually the world's fastest diesel truck, according to the Guinness Book of World Records, is the Bandag Bullet - owned by Frank Gaffiero from Australia. Average speed for the truck was 182.5km/h which smashed the prior record by 26km/h! This was broken at the Bundaberg Air Show in Queensland, Australia in 2007 (if I remember correctly!) - I have seen this awesome truck in action and I believe this record will stand for some time yet!
