you shouldn't have them together unless breeding. if you are breeding the male is still very agressive. tends to bite off her fins so she cant swim away so he can breed with her. - not exactly romantic!
beta fish are fighting fish and should be kept separated if you are looking to keep them as pets. Also, if you happen to have long hair and just want to see your beta play, take a piece of your hair fashioned to flare like one of their fins and rub it up against there fish bowl. They often think you are another fish and will slowly develop a relationship of play with you. They will also become excited when you feed them if they are trained to recognize the bottle that there food comes in.
If either she or he is not in breeding condition he will kill her if she is not removed from the tank. If they are in breeding condition he will build a nest of bubbles, spawn her and then kill her so she will need to be removed anyway.
It's very hard to tell mainly because betta fish are naturally aggressive fish. but if you look really closely the bigger the upper lip on the fish the more aggressive they will be. but to tell you the true it's a guessing thing you just have know after awhile of having many betta fish get more info on betta and follow me o my blog at *the link provided below.

You can't. Even if you're breeding them, you have to separate them when they're done. Bettas do not like friends.
Male betta's are more colorful then female's

She breeds with a male Betta Fish.
Under normal circumstances the female Betta looks and is smaller than the male in both body and finage.
No because if a male betta is not atracked to the female they will try to reserve there territory
Your betta fish is a female if she has smaller fins than an average male.
If they are not too old and the female is ready, then they will mate.
All bettas will fight each other, male or female. Always keep them separated.
