Unfortunately, if you have a 2002 - present model CR-V, you'll have to go to your dealer to get a new key. The new keys have microchips in them that are required to start the engine when you put the key in the ignition. I estimate the cost to be $70-$100 depending on your make, model and the area you live in.
One can purchase a new Honda CRV at any Honda Dealership. To find a dealership closest, go to Honda's site, and enter one's zip code. The closest dealerships will be listed. One can get a price quote also.
A new Honda CRV can be bought online at websites such as eBay Motors, Auto Trader and Cars Direct. These websites give people the ability to list new and used cars such as Honda CRV's for sale and gives them a much larger market exposure for potential sales other than just locally.
To reprogram a Honda ignition key you need to use a Honda-approved dealer. Only a dealer can reprogram or order a new ignition key for a Honda vehicle.
The starter for a 2002 Honda CRV costs $765.03, without any parts mark-up. With 2.1 hours labor to replace and at $90 an hour labor, that totals 954.03 + 53.55 tax = 1007.58.
try new light bulbs
Go to your local Honda dealer and buy a new manual. They aren't that expensive. REALLY!!! how to introduice radio code in a crv auto radio?
The song is titled Canned Love by Powersolo on their album Bloodskinbones.
After a long period of use, the key wears down. I had this happen to me and the key would just not turn. luckily I had a spare in my wallet. When I compared them to each other, I could see that the key I used all the time was worn at the front end on both sides. It didn't match the spare key anymore. The spare key turned it over real easy, so I went and had another spare made to keep in my wallet. If you don't have a spare key that is not worn, you may not be able to make a new key from the old one. Then again, because it's a new key it may still work for you, since the part that wears is the edge. It gets rounded off. If this doesn't work, you may need to order a new key at a dealer, probably with your vin number. Hope this helps.
about $1.50 if you have a spare key that they can cut a new one off of.
no i do not think a dealership could but you can call there
If the keys to a Dodge Neon are lost first try to contact someone who has a spare. If no one has a spare a locksmith can create a new key.
To change the front signal light bulb on the 1999 Honda CRV, pry up the fender fastener to expose the bulb socket. Twist the bulb socket 90 degrees and remove from the assembly. Turn the burnt bulb counterclockwise and pull out. Replace with new bulb.
