Make sure it tuned properly...plugs, wires, air filter, oil change, change fluids, etc., properly inflate tires. It is a v8 and does not need to rev too high form stops like 4 cylinder cars so try not to "MASH" gas pedal unless your "racing" :) LOL. if maintained properly and no racing = better gas mileage. Again it is a v8. I love my 2000....

I would say no , on my 1995 Ford Explorer XLT - I probably add a little coolant to the tank each year when it starts to get colder outside
My Explorer won't turn over; the lights come on and attempted to jump the vehicle. Where is the fuel bottom if engine does not turn over?
