If you wish to continue this one-sided relationship, detachment might be the answer. You let go with love, have no expectations of the person. I knew a woman once who told us about her husband who used to have "kinniptions." One day she walked out of the room. He stopped ranting. He found out that it is no fun to rant without someone to scream at. She never allowed this kind of abuse to happen again. I think you should consider the question: Is this friendship? Probably best to drop the so-called friend.
