This is exactly why office romances are very risky. If the couple should split up, they still have to work with each other or at least see each other every day and it can be heart-breaking for one of the two people. There are two things you can do. You can either try to stay out of his way as best you can (as much as your heart is breaking) and don't let him see he's getting you down. Start going out with friends and start dating again. If you are still interested in him, it's possible if you don't show you care about the split-up that much he may make an effort to get back with you.
