I am really sorry to hear you are going through this and I know you are hurting a lot. Getting over a person you love is like a grieving process and it takes time. As much as it hurts remind yourself that the hurt does go away and that it doesn't last forever. There is a bright future ahead of you. Seldom can one leave a love relationship and stay friends. It's best to move on. If you continue to see this person as a good friend (which they never will be to you, but someone you love) it will only hurt you more. I have no idea how this came about, but if you have just sat back and not discussed to this person how you feel then you should. Perhaps they feel the same towards you; they may love you, but are afraid to say anything. If you sit idly by and never confront how you feel to this person, they may feel you don't love them and that you are just good friends. If they have already found someone then it's a little late.
