erlax Someone has suggested "erlax" I am not sure what this is, but your doctor or nurse is the best resource as they can prescribe a medication that is safe for both you and your baby to take to ease your morning sickness. You may also want to keep a small diary and see if you are eating any foods that are causing additional stomach upset. Be sure to check with your health care provider or even a pharmacist to see what might be safe for you to take during pregnancy, most especially if the "sickness" you describe is interfering with your ability to drink fluids or to eat. You want to be sure you don't get dehydrated (not have enough fluid in your body) or malnourished (not have enough food and vitamins in your body) for you and a healthy baby.

Here are some good ideas:

  • Take an Over-The-Counter cure such as Emetrol or Dramamine
  • Sip a flat cola beverage - it's important to let it go flat because carbonation can make you more nauseated
  • Nibble on dry soda crackers
  • See a doctor if your symptoms don't improve quickly
