Your veterinarian should have the appropriate medication to treat for fleas. It is best to check with him/her before buying any over the counter flea treatments. Some OTC flea medications can be potentially toxic to the animal (ie: Hartz brand).
You buy flea medication in a pet store that you ether give in a pill or you can get a liquid flea killer.

I would recommend taking your cat to the vet.
Remove all animals from the home and using a flea bug bomb will get rid of them in the house or a local exterminator. A vet should be consulted on what products will be best for flea removal for the cat.
The cat with fleas is a host
While cat fleas (Ctenocephalides felis) and dog fleas (Ctenocephalides cannis) are two different species, most of the fleas found on dogs are actually cat fleas.
Fleas on a cat are probably either dog fleas or cat fleas (these are two different species, but despite the name, either can survive on either a dog or cat ... or for that matter on other mammals). Both of them can and will bite humans.
No it cannot take the goodness from a cat. I have 2 cats and when they were kittens, they had fleas. Just if you were asking about your cats, just every night, clean them thoroughly to get off all the fleas and give them a flea collar, it's like a rubber band that wraps around their neck loosely so they don't check. Don't worry, they cannot take anything from a cat. No, of course not! Just get some flea medicine/collar, or take your cat to the vet, and you can get rid of the fleas. Your cat will be the same, although probably a lot more comfortable after the fleas are gone.
Yes - the medication impregnated in the flea collar is designed to kill off any existing infestation - and deter fleas from landing on the animal in future.
No, fleas will live in your home and bite people instead. Your home will need to be treated for fleas if a fleas are seen!
Read the directions first, but a flea powder or flea collar would help.
It sounds like you want to get rid of chicks. Do you really mean "How to get rid of fleas on chicks?" If so, then ask the question.
No we have one in our home and it didn't do a thing for fleas.
