Depending on the type of 'dark mark' the best product you can use at home would be a retinoid.
Make sure to use a prescription because there are many different brands and they can potentially cause severe skin irritation if used incorrectly.
If you want a 'quicker' solution, then a chemical peel can do wonders if the mark is related to sun exposure. Make sure you go to a reputable medical spa or dermatologist. The downside to chemical peels is that your face will took terrible for 7 to 10 days.
Obagi makes an amazing product line specifically for dark marks, freckles etc.
If your talking about acne scars, theres two options.
Wether you are a guy or a girl, buying a fading cream can always work.
They are also known as bleaching creme for skin discoloration. Or you can just buy a blemish remover specifically for acne scars.
Also...for girls (and some brave guys) a good concealer can really hide acne scars.
I recommend one with a greenish tint to it.
Because green is the contrasting color of red, its good for hiding reddish acne scars.

My Farther got me dis black soap and it works it lights up ur dark marks and youll see a change in a couple of weeks. Im 12 and i get alot off bumbs and sometimes i pop them but i stop and also using the black soap. If you live in Maryland its a Flee Market and they sell if too so i hope dis idea might work lol
Try mixing lemon with cucumber juice and applying it to your face. Apply at night and wash off in the morning. Do this for 3-4 days. Its really easy.

Once you have picked and picked at that little pimple until it grows into a huge, red scar ... it's too late!! You're stuck with that scar until it heals completely (which it is not guaranteed to do!) Sure, you can pick at the ugly thing, but that will only cause more irriation. Trust me, now you have to wait it out for being foolish enough to pick it off.
There are many reasons you can get dark patches, one is hormones via BC Pill etc. Ive read in various places, getting off BC may help them fade in time and of course staying out of the sun! If this doesn't work, people have been known to use bleaching creams made for the hyperpimentation and also microdermabrasions and other cosmetic surgeries.
For one thing, you could stop doing that. You wouldn't want to cause more of those marks. I'm not sure if this would work, but you try using skin cream on the marks. Good luck.

Lacto calamine does not get rid of pimple marks but conceals it to some extent .Massage your skin with pure olive oil regularly .The marks will fade off with time.

There are plenty of creams that can help get rid of stretch marks. Mederma works great on stretch marks.
Directly rub potato slices all over the face and wash after 30 minutes this when done regularly , helps to get rid of acne, blemishes and pimple scar.
If you mean the dark marks created by pots and pans rubbing a white sink, the only thing that has worked for me (and I've searched for years) is Bar Keeper's Friend. I'm also going to try rubbing compound for automotive paint. Good luck!

Clinique do an amazing after spot cream. It's part of their Anti Blemish Solutions range. It's called post blemish formula. It's like a pen with cream inside and it gets rid of the red dark mark left behind after a spot. My experience, these marks take a week or two to go, this gets rid of them in about 2 days.
