When a person does his workout, he effectively damages his muscle cells and depletes glycogen( energy reserve of muscle).

So after workout he feels drained and little bit of pain in his muscle. Thiis is what we refer to as sore muscle.

Eating 5-8 balanced meals a day combined with relaxation and rest will allow the muscle to recover fast and to perform better in next training session.

Drink milk--it helps relieve the sore muscles. You can also add some cool down stretches to your exercise program.
