Having straight A's is a fantastic goal! You don't have to necessarily be the smartest in the class to achieve this goal. What's more important is that you work hard. Whenever you have a goal the best way to achieve it is to work backwards and make and implement a plan.

For example your goal is to get straight A's. This is your point B. Your point A is where you are today. To get from A to B you should start with B and work backwards. To do this write a list of all the things that will help you get straight A's (get A's on tests, get A's on homework, do extra credit, etc)

The next step backwards toward your point A is to take each of those items and figure out what you need to do to achieve those smaller goals. For example: Get A's on tests - be organized, talk to your teacher about how to perform better, read the chapters in your textbook, do sample questions, learn how to get better test results, etc.

Then another take another step toward your point A. Take each of the above items and figure out what you need to do to achieve those smaller goals. For example: Read the chapters in your book. If the chapter has 25 pages and you have two weeks until your next test, read two pages a day for 12 days then read the last page and study for the exam the remaining days.

Keep working backwards until you can't go any further. Write everything out then put dates on each of the small goals. Then you will know what to do everyday to reach your goal. Make sure you complete your minimum daily goals. Also ask your parents and teachers for help.

You can apply this concept to anything in life. Set big goals and map out the baby steps and make sure you do the baby steps. You will be sure to get straight A's!
