You need to use a key to take the wheel hub cap off a 2004 VW Beetle. Once you insert the key, you can pull the hub cap off so you can reach the lug nuts.

Place new back bearing back into hub, then lightly tap seal into hub. Put the hub onto the spindle. Put in front bearing, washer, nut, cotterpin, and cap. Replace tire.

After that you need a special socket that has 4 prongs on it. take the nut off. then pull the washer out and take off the other nut witch needs the same socket. then your rotor is free to come off just pull.

I own a 2002 kia sportage I installed warn hubs on it . It is very easy on the 2002 you dont even have to remove the wheels . remove the center cap off of the wheel,then remove the bolts on the old hub remove old hub replace with new hub tighten bolts your done but the center cap will not fit.
