Insert key into helmet lock. Twist clockwise until helmet lock open. There is a black spring-loaded tab on the inboard side of the helmet lock. Push that down while lifting the seat up and back. Voila!
To reinstall you don't have to play with the tab and the helmet lock can be locked or unlocked. Just make sure to keep the helmet lock locked or else anybody can remove your seat.
