There is a 225 Cadman Plaza East and a 225 Cadman Plaza West. If you're going to US District Court East, then it's Cadman Plaza East, but just in case, I will give walking directions to both.

Which subway route to take depends on where you're coming from. You can take the F (of the B-D-F-M, the orange line) to York Street, the A or C (of the A-C-E, the blue line) to High Street, the 2 or 3 (of the 1-2-3, the red line) to Clark Street, the N or R (of the N-R-Q, the yellow line) to Court Street, or the 4 or 5 (of the 4-5-6, the dark green line) to Borough Hall.

I have listed the stations in descending order. Each one is further south than the last (i.e., the F to York Street is the furthest north, then the A or C to High Street-Brooklyn Bridge, then the 2 or 3 to Clark Street, etc.)

The F

The F to York Street will drop you off on Jay Street, near the corner of Jay and Sands Streets, on the west side of the Manhattan Bridge.

Walk north on Jay Street to Prospect Street, turn left, and walk west on Prospect Street to Cadman Plaza East or Cadman Plaza West, then turn left and walk south on Cadman Plaza East or West to 225. The address 225 Cadman Plaza West is a lot further north than 225 Cadman Plaza East.

The A or C

The A or C to High Street will drop you off at Cadman Plaza East, which forms the eastern border of Brooklyn War Memorial Park. To get to 225 Cadman Plaza West, walk west to Cadman Plaza West, and north to 225 (which should be at or near the intersection of Cadman Plaza West and Middagh Street).

To get to 225 Cadman Plaza East, walk south on Cadman Plaza East to 225.

The 2 or 3

The 2 or 3 to Clark Street will drop you off at the corner of Clark and Henry Streets. Walk two blocks east on Clark Street to Cadman Plaza West. Then either walk north on Cadman Plaza West to 225, or walk straight east through the park to Cadman Plaza East. The address 225 Cadman Plaza East is pretty much exactly where Clark Street is.

The N or R

The N or R to Court Street will drop you off at the corner of Clinton and Montague Streets. Walk half a block east on Montague Street to Cadman Plaza West, and then either walk north on Cadman Plaza West to 225, or walk north on Cadman Plaza West to Clark Street, then turn right at Clark Street and walk straight across the park to 225 Cadman Plaza East.

Note: the N train only stops at Court Street at night (11 PM to 5:30 AM) when the R isn't running. You CANNOT take the N unless you're traveling between 11 PM and 5:30 AM.

The 4 or 5

The 4 or 5 to Borough Hall will drop you off on Joralemon Street, between Court and Adams Streets. Walk half a block west to Court Street, turn right, and walk north on Court Street. Court Street becomes Cadman Plaza West just a block or two north of Joralemon Street. Either walk up Cadman Plaza West to 225, or, turn right at Clark Street and walk straight east across the park to 225 Cadman Plaza East.

It depends on which subway line is closest to your starting point.

There is a 225 Cadman Plaza West and a 225 Cadman Plaza East. If you're going to US District Court East, then you're going to Cadman Plaza East, but just in case, I will provide walking directions for both.

The F

If you're starting out at the Uptown end of the F line (in Jamaica) then take the Downtown F to Briarwood-Van Wyck Boulevard, and transfer there to the Uptown E. Take the Uptown E 2 stops to Sutphin Boulevard-Archer Avenue, and transfer there to the Downtown J-Z. Take the Downtown J-Z to Broadway Junction and transfer there to the Uptown A or C. Take the Uptown A or C to High Street. Scroll down to the J-Z directions for walking directions.

Even though you have to make 3 transfers, this route is much shorter than heading all the way west across Queens, all the way down Manhattan, and then back out to Brooklyn.

Otherwise, take the Downtown F to York Street. It'll drop you off on Jay Street, near the corner of Jay and Sands Streets, on the west side of the Manhattan Bridge.

The M

You can take the M to any stop in Manhattan after 5th Avenue-53rd Street (all stops from Rockefeller Center to Essex-Delancey Street) and transfer there to the F to York Street. See the F directions for walking directions.

The R

You can take the R (of the N-R-Q, the yellow line) all the way there, from Queens to Court Street. The N also stops at Court Street at night (11 PM to 5:30 AM) when the Risn't running, but I doubt you'll be going to court in the middle of the night.

The N or R to Court Street will drop you off at the corner of Clinton and Montague Streets. Walk half a block east on Montague Street to Cadman Plaza West. If you're going to 225 Cadman Plaza West, then walk north on Cadman Plaza West to 225.

If you're going to 225 Cadman Plaza East, then walk north on Cadman Plaza West to Clark Street, then turn right at Clark Street and walk straight across the park to 225 Cadman Plaza East.

The N or Q

If you're starting out on the N and Q line in Queens, then you'll want to take the Q, since it's an express train.

Take the Q to Canal Street and transfer there to the R to Court Street. See the R train directions for walking directions.

The E

If you're starting out at or near the Uptown end of the Eline (in/near Jamaica) then take the Uptown E to Sutphin Boulevard-Archer Avenue and transfer there to the Downtown J-Z. Take the Downtown J-Z to Broadway Junction and transfer there to the Uptown A or C to High Street. This is a much shorter route than heading all the way west across Queens, all the way down Manhattan, and then back out to Brooklyn.

Otherwise, take the Downtown E to 42nd Street-Port Authority Bus Terminal, and transfer there to the Downtown Aor C to High Street.

The J-Z

Take the Manhattan-bound J-Z (the brown line) to Broadway Junction, and transfer at Broadway Junction to the Manhattan-bound A or C trains (of the A-C-E, the blue line), and take the A or C to High Street.

The 7 train

You can also take the 7 train (the purple line) to 42nd Street-Grand Central Station, and transfer there to the Downtown 4 or 5 (of the 4-5-6, the dark green line) to Borough Hall.

You'll get off the train on on Joralemon Street, between Court and Adams Streets. Walk half a block west to Court Street, turn right, and walk north on Court Street. Court Street becomes Cadman Plaza West just a block or two north of Joralemon Street.

If you're going to 225 Cadman Plaza West, then walk north on Cadman Plaza West to 225.

If you're going to 225 Cadman Plaza East, then walk up Cadman Plaza West to Clark Street, turn right at Clark Street and walk straight east across the park to 225 Cadman Plaza East.

Take the Downtown (Brooklyn-bound) A or C(of the A-C-E, the blue line) from 34th Street-Penn Station to High Street.

There is a 225 Cadman Plaza West and a 225 Cadman Plaza East. If you're going to US District Court East, then you're going to Cadman Plaza East, but just in case, I will provide walking directions for both.

You can take the M train (of the B-D-F-M, the orange line), E train (of the A-C-E, the blue line), or 7 train (the purple line).

Get on the M train at 65th Street (at Broadway), Northern Boulevard (at Broadway) or Jackson Heights-Roosevelt Avenue (at Broadway and Roosevelt Avenue).

Or get on the 7 train at 52nd Street (at Roosevelt Avenue), 61st Street-Woodside (at Roosevelt Avenue), 69th Street (at Roosevelt Avenue), or 74th Street-Broadway (at Roosevelt Avenue, and connected to the Jackson Heights-Roosevelt Avenue station).

Or get on the E train at Jackson Heights-Roosevelt Avenue.

Take the M, E or 7 to Court Square, and transfer there to the G (the light green line).

Take the G from Court Square to Hoyt-Schermerhorn Street.

There is a 225 Cadman Plaza East and a 225 Cadman Plaza West. If you're going to US District Court East, then it's Cadman Plaza East, but just in case, I will give walking directions to both.

You'll exit the subway at the corner of Hoyt and Schermerhorn Streets. Walk 3 blocks west on Schermerhorn Street to Court Street. You'll know which way is west because the traffic on Hoyt Street runs south.

Turn right onto Court Street, and walk north. Soon Court Street will turn into Cadman Plaza West. Keep walking north on Cadman Plaza West to Clark Street.

If you're going to 225 Cadman Plaza East, then turn right at Clark Street, and walk straight across the park to Cadman Plaza East. The address 225 Cadman Plaza East is pretty much exactly where Clark Street is.

If you're going to 225 Cadman Plaza West, then continue up Cadman Plaza West, past Clark Street, to 225.

There is a 225 Cadman Plaza East and a 225 Cadman Plaza West. I believe the one you're going to is Cadman Plaza East, but just in case, I will give walking directions to both.

Take the ferry to the South Ferry-Whitehall Terminal in Manhattan. Entrance to the South Ferry-Whitehall Street subway station is included inside the ferry terminal complex. This is actually two connected stations, the South Ferry station on the 1 train (of the 1-2-3, the red line) and the Whitehall Street station on the R train (of the N-R-Q, the yellow line).

Take the Downtown R train, 1 stop, from Whitehall Street to Court Street in Brooklyn.

The D (of the B-D-F-M, the orange line) is the only train that stops at (or near) 25th Avenue, but there are several trains you can transfer to that will drop you off near the courthouses. To simplify things, however, I will just give you the directions that have the shortest walking distance from the station.

Take the Manhattan-bound D from 25th Avenue (at 86th Street) to Atlantic Avenue-Pacific Street.

The Atlantic Avenue-Pacific Street station is connected to the Atlantic Avenue station. Transfer to Atlantic Avenue, and take the Manhattan-bound 2 or 3 trains (of the 1-2-3, the red line) from Atlantic Avenue to Clark Street.

There is a 225 Cadman Plaza West and a 225 Cadman Plaza East. If you're going to US District Court East, then you're going to Cadman Plaza East, but just in case, I will provide walking directions for both.
