move the stearing left and right and simultaneously try removing the key.
remove steering wheel , there is an little botton in the colum to push ine when igntion is turned to the on position , then pull on igntion .
I broke my key in the ignition and cant get it out. My only option I can see, is to replace to tumbler. How do I remove it?

It's all part of the ignition switch assembly. The "Click" is usually the steering wheel lock pin dropping into place.
Remove the door panel, retrieve the lock and put it back in its retainer. Check the lock handle to see if the plastic is broken as most locks falling inside the door actually occur because someone has punched the lock in an attempt to break in.
either the child safety lock is on or the rods inside the door to the handle have come off.
The ignition lock cylinder on a 2006 Chevy Cobalt is removed by popping off the steering column cover and inserting a screwdriver into the release hole. The cylinder can then be pulled from its housing and replaced.
Inside of car, passenger side on the side of the console trim casing. Pull panel off to access door lock fuse.

could be electric, call the dealership if its still under warrenty have them tow it and fix it... happened to me..
check that all the doors are closed properly. its most likely the hood; make sure the hood lock (the bit of metal with the spring on it) is in the correct position ... it should be screwed into the hood not just sitting in the release above the bumper
Chevy uses lock washers. ;-)
