The hub bearing needs to be properly lubricated. Having access to a grease gun helps. Use the grease gun and place some grease in the bearing. These will help keep it lubricated and functional.

The correct way is to open the screw besides ur rear tire, remove the circle like thing on which ur chain rotates, open it and remove all ball bearing and add grease to it then put all ball bearing in a circle
