If i was you i would go to a hairdresser because if you buy it and do it well it might turn your hair yellow and basically it would make a mess and you might not get the right places to highlight it and it will have a chance of being yellow but hey good luck if you are doing it hope it goes perfect for you and hope you like it if you do well do it yourself.
Yes. Your hair will get damaged by any dye no matter what color your hair previously was.
light brown hair
Basically....yes. If your hair is very dark then there is no other way except to bleach it. There are some hair dyes that contain bleach in them as well as color so you don't end up with some crazy orange result. Some dies will lighten your color nicely, but it won't be blond. If you have light brown hair and have never dyed it before, find the lightest blond hair dye and try that--it should lighten your color to at least a dirty blond.
it would turn a dark color green
Dark brown, because when you die you hair it goes to what-ever colour you die it.
Lemon juice, honey and beer are some homemade ideas.
long hair
You can make dark brown hair lighter brown but it's not done just with bleach. The color tech (dark brown hair really needs to be colored professionally because it is hard to do) will mix hair color with bleach and, possibly, use a hair dryer to speed up the process._____________-When I'm lightening dark brown hair on a client and depending on how blonde she wants to be, I'll use bleach and then a toner. It's very easy to control the hair and not bring it to a white color, unless this is what the client desires.
It depends on the color of your original hair. However, if you did dark brown and then light brown, the light brown would then look like a honey color.
Someone with dark hair can get a range of great highlight choices to create a range of looks. You can get a contrasting blonde, or a matching lighter color brown.
I think bleach blond
No it will not lighten. You will need to prelighten (bleach) your hair if you want it to be lighter.
No, lemon juice isn't strong enough to lift artificial dark brown hair color. Bleach will need to be used for this.
well it ultimetly depends on how you want it but I suggest blonde or even like a bleach blonde . the best look that I have seen is that it is dark strawberry blonde at the top and fades into a bleach /platinum blonde.
yes with a bleach hair dye ------------------------------------- When lightening dark brown hair, it's best to use bleach with 20 or 30 volume developer. Using a high-lift color as described above will result in a brassy, orangy color.
Yes, it IS possible for a dark haired person to have highlights. I specialize in this and I always use bleach, and depending on how dark the hair is and how blonde the client wants her hair, I either use a 20 vol or 30 vol developer. I also use professional bleach, but you can find some decent bleach at Sally Beauty.
first you dye your whole hair a lighter color then do the blue highlights.
