Let me ask you this, have you checked the related parts to the cooling fan system before going to a toggle? In most cases a switch is not an ideal solution. Sure, you can switch it on when the temps start climbing, but are you going to pay attention to switch it off again when they fall? The computer expects a certain engine temperature to be able to operate effeciently and running the engine too cool could keep the computer in cold start-up mode.

The most common parts involved in the cooling fan system are the coolant temperature sensor (same sensor that feeds the computer), the fan relay, and the radiator fan itself. While it's not impossible that something else could be the problem, one of these is probably it.

Answer AGAIN THIS IS NOT A GREAT IDEA BUT IMA ANSWER YOUR QUESTION ON YOUR FAN ONE WIRE IS POSITIVE AND 1 NEG CUT INTO THE POSITIVE RUN WIRE FROM + OF FAN TO INSIDE CAR HOOK TO SWITCH NOW HOOK ANOTHER WIRE TO SWITCH AND RUN TO + OF BATTERY. IF YOU GET ONLINE AND EDUCATE YOURSELF ON HOW THESE FANS WORK ITS VERY EASY TO FIX THESE MOST TIMES ITS A RELAY GONE BAD

What does a toggle switch do?

Toggle = back and forth, or on and off. A toggle switch toggles (turns) a light or other device on or off. Good example is a light switch (the wall kind)-- a toggle switch must also be of the "throw the stick back and forth" kind. Which a light switch basically is.

How can you rewire a washer fluid motor to just a toggle switch on an 88' Chevy Beretta?

Yes! Find the wires going to the washer switch and just use a toggle switch in it's place. If you can't locate the wires, you can just run power straight to the motor from the toggle switch. I recommend you use a spring loaded on/off toggle switch, to make sure you don't accidentally leave it in the on position.

What is advantage of push button over toggle switch?

One of the main advantages of a push button over a toggle switch is there is less room for accidental engagements. A toggle switch can easily be turned on or off by accident and a push button has to be intentionally touched to turn it on or off.

How do you replace gas fireplace switch?

This depends on the switch. A lot of older fireplaces have a millivolt valve with a toggle-switch sticking out. We usually remove the toggle switch and run the 2 wires that were connected to the toggle to a remote receiver box. This way any simple remote transmitter will act like an electrical toggle switch. Most receivers will recognize hundreds of thousands of signals so this is usually very convenient and takes about 3 minutes to turn a manual switch into a remote switch.

What is the difference between toggle switch and a push button?

A toggle switch is like a light switch. You flick (or 'toggle') the switch on or off and it stays in that position until you flick it again. You could compare a push button switch to a key on a keyboard. When you press a key momentarily it will display one letter on the screen. If you hold down the key, the same letter will repeat (e.g. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaa). Toggle switches can also look like push button switches. Most power buttons on a desktop computer tower is a toggle switch. The reset button on a computer tower is a push button switch.
