There are 4 places to connect the battery - To the Starter, the chasis and to the battery 1) The RED thick cable that goes to the big bolt and screw attached to the starter which is on the the same side as the battery below the exhaust manifold - left and center from the front of the vehicle and beneath the # 3 spark plug wire (***caution *** do this while engine is COLD) 2) The BLACK cable should (normally) attach to the top of the alternator on the top - or engine block - this is the negative ground - To the Battery 3) The black cable attaches to the MINUS "-" (Negative, aka "Neg") terminal. 4) The red cable attaches to the PLUS "+" (Positive, aka. "Pos") terminal. NOTE: Alot of cables have other connections on them ie., grounds etc. accessory items. If your black cable for example, has an extra small black wire on it - it too needs to be attached to the same place or near by to the chasis (grounded) Good Luck. LBB90210 red cable should go to starter or starter relay black cable should go to ground on the engine block
