You don't. Meddling with the wiring in this way is asking for trouble.
to properly test relay you must have relay in circuit apply voltage to pin 1 if there is no diode there will not be a polarity issue. if there is a diode you must apply voltage to proper pin or you will have a short circuit. apply ground to pin 2 with coil energized there will be continuity across the other pins when voltage or ground is denied there will be no continuity. to properly test relay you must have relay in circuit apply voltage to pin 1 if there is no diode there will not be a polarity issue. if there is a diode you must apply voltage to proper pin or you will have a short circuit. apply ground to pin 2 with coil energized there will be continuity across the other pins when voltage or ground is denied there will be no continuity.
If you have removed the relay already look at the back side and it will most likely be the same as a regular Bosch relay with either 4 or 5 terminals....... This relay can be bought at any auto parts store for around $10.00 dollars....
I have the same car, so this question is easy. First locate car battery on right hand side of car (as standing with bonnet open at front of the car ). Then just behind it there is a metel bracket with a Glow plug heater relay box attached to this bracket ( slide fit , held in place with one screw). The relay is under neath the main area of the metal bracket ,and attached to two wires - unscrew the nuts, and one connector pin block (either 5 pin or 6 pin deppending on model) unclip. If your 406 is the 5 pin relay you have mk1 series 406 . If the relay is 6 pin , you have a mk2 406. Hope this helps herbie44
An emergency light switch uses a relay. A relay has an 5 terminals. The firs two terminals are connected to a flowing current (current flows when there is a normal electricity) The next 3 terminals are the common, the normally on, and normally off. One of the battery terminal is connected to the common, and the other one terminal of the battery is connected to one terminal of the light bulb(which has two terminals) then the other terminal of the light bulb is connected to the normally on terminal of the relay. When current flows to the first two mentioned terminals of the relay, the circuit of the battery and light is cut off or not connected. But when the current is off, this will switch on the normally-on terminal thus current will flow from the battery to the light bulb, that will shed light. ;) on an emergency situation. note: The normally off is not use. And may be use for some purpose.
It is a relay. Pretty much just your standard 5 pin relay. Can be used for fuel pumps, power windows, fog lights... etc. Hope that helps.
First check your fuse. Then figure out the layout of the pins on your relay. Two of them are for the coil and the other two are for the switch. There should be a diagram on the relay or there will be pin numbers. 85 and 86 are for the coil, 30 and 87 for the switch. In the latter case 30 is always hot ( you can test with a volt meter ). Disconnect your battery ground and figure out where the corresponding slots on the mount are for each pin. Use a jumper to connect the slots for the switch (30 and 87). Reconnect your battery ground and go to your fuel tank, you should hear your fuel pump turn on. If not the pump is bad. If it does it's probably your relay. To test the relay you can put power ( with a 5 amp fuse ) to terminal 85 and ground to 86 ( the switch ) and the relay should click. With an ohm meter make sure there is continuity between 30 and 87 when the coil terminals have power and closed ( no continuity ) when the power is taken away from the switch.
Dodge Durango turn signal relay locationThat relay is on a hidden panel, behind the interior fuse panel you access by opening the driver's door. You get to the hidden panel from under the dashboard, and it will be the 5 pin relay at the very top of the panel. I replaced this relay on my 2000 Durango to restore the turn signals just yesterday.
5 terminals at heathrow airport
The Entefactory 5 Pin Code is 51846 that is the Pin code for Enfactory try it !!
In fuse box on left side of engine compartment, just behind battery. there are four relays that are the same. box cover has label to identify. Relay closest to front of car is relay one.
No. Terminals 1,2 and 3 are walking distance apart.
