There are several things to do. An I have caught myself doing, ease in to the throttle when takin off from a stop light. Check your tire pressure, you can use a pound or two more wont hurt. Check your air fitler, if you want you can change it out for a K&N or one of that nature will help. Have the plugs been swapped out for new ones and wires as well. Be surprise what that will do on performance and mileage. Also tire size, forget to add that to pressure. If you are running larger then stock, your not going to get better mileage. Have the front end alinement checked. When changing the oil look at using synthetic blend or straight synthetic. Those are somethings that can help. Had a 91 4x4 long bed extended cab would get 18 on the highway 17 if used a/c.
