last choice is: to goto a junkyard that has an echo and retrieve extra parts before beginning installation and last choice is goto a Wal-Mart and buy the cheapest Chinese aftermarket kit for echo years-??-??...which may or may not be a great solution...I've seen these kits work perfectly for installing normal size chassis into a GM(large) dash opening, but have also seen 'worthless, non- adaptable parts in these broad range inexpensive kits...
Very last choice or alternate is:...If you haven't purchased the CD system yet...goto a circuit city or better store and get free installation with purchase on system...you will still be charged for additional kit(s), which they usually only use minimal parts from.
2000-2004 TOYOTA ECHO (Factory Radio/CD replacement)1) Remove the (2) Outewr A/C heater control knobs.2). Remove the (2) Phillips screws from these locations
3). GENTLY unsnap the A/C-heater control panel, disconnect the harness and remove.
4). Gently u7nsnap the trim from around the radio and remove.
5) Depress the tabs securing the heater controls in place and pull slightly forward and upward to allow access to the top radio mounting screws.
6) Remove the six Phillips screws securing the radio.
7). Gently slide the radio forward and disconnect the wire harnesses and antenna lead and remove radio.
8) if adding single Toyota CD player to existing radio, plug CD player to contacts on radio.
