The flasher relay on a 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee 318 by unplugging the old flasher and plugging in the new one. The flasher relay is located under the dash on the driver's side.
The '99 flasher fuse is in the fuse box in the engine compartment and the flasher switch solinoid in under the dash on the left side. Hope this helps. The flasher fuse is located on the kick plate of the passenger side above the fuse box. I actually just replaced one too!
I believe it is located on the passenger side below the glove box right next to the fuse box should be the second flasher from the top where the first from the top is missing its grey on the 1996 model grand cherokee. I think
