take out the 5 bolts that hold the gas tank to the body of the car. The lip of the tank closest to the front of the car will be sitting on part of the frame. The part of the tank closest to the rear of the car will be unsupported. Either have someone lay under to hold it or put a jack under it when you take out hte bolts.
The two hoses for the filler are somewhat taught and not too flexible. You'll need to undo these first to let the tank dip down lower so you can then do the smaller connections. There will be two electrical connectors and 4 smaller hoses. Pretty straight forward when you look at it... gist is disconnect it from body of car.. then disconnect everything that's connected to the tank.
I'm not a mechanic and the job only takes about an hour or so .. depending on rust, etc.
One thing to note... 95-00 have a different tank than 01-02. They're all the same shape and use the same electrical connectors. Though, you'll need to do some rigging/hose extending to make the 95 version fit on an 01. They moved hose connections around and changed their diameter. Pesky Kia.
