Good Luck...it's not too bad of a job & if your state allows it, used parts or parts from eBay should be ok

When dealing with any part of the airbag system my recommendation is to take the vehicle to the dealership where a train technician can install the new airbag and reset the system. This way if you install the new airbag and the system is not reset. It may malfunction in the event of a collision or it may charge the new airbag and blowup when connected.

You do not. This is illegal and very dangrous.
That job is best left to a professional as serious injury can be caused.
to replace the airbag you have to remove most of the dash componets. its better just to take it to your local ford house of certified mechanic
it is theoretically possible but for all practical reasons not really
Disconnect the battery. It cannot blow without the battery. Same when putting it back. Make the electrical connections and install the airbag then reconnect the battery.
I would not recommend airbag repairs for the diy'r. Take it to a professional. If you are still going to try, unhook the battery for at least 5 minutes before you begin.
Yes you can as long as you either manually turn the passenger airbag option off OR remove the airbag fuse. Check your states regulations before do it though.
It is possible but you have to know what you are doing.
You can't. You will need to get permission from the NHTSA to install a cutoff switch.
