using a 1/2" drive ratchet or breaker bar and release the tension on the sepantine belt and remove it. then disconnect the positive battery cable. start by removing the electrical connector plugged into the side/back of the alternator, then remove the nut and wire terminal on the back, then 3 bolts that hold it in. reverse the process to install.
