Drill a hole in the the door in the exact same place that the hole is on the driver side door. Remove the inside door panel and put tape on one side of the wrench and place the nut in the wrench and screw the retaining nut on. Drill the hole only thru the outer skin, a cone shaped veri-drill bit works best.
In concept it's easy simply to drill on the opposite side as your existing mirror, but in practice this is something you definitely want to plan and get right the first time! Fortunately, Mid-America Motorworks provides a free template on their website, for this exact issue. Remove the inside door panel of your 1993 Chevrolet Lumina. Remove the passenger mirror wiring harness. Remove the passenger mirror retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install the new passenger mirror.

remove door panel then remove screws behind mirror. remove door panel then remove screws behind mirror.
on the inside of the door, opposite of the mirror there is a plastic cover, remove the cover and the bolts holding the mirror on will be exposed.
take the door panel off and then you can get to the 3- 10 millimeter nuts that hold the mirror on, take the nuts off and if the mirror is electric you have to unplug the mirror from the harness and then just pull the mirror off, to install just reverse the process.
