AnswerI just took my car in thia a.m. and it was changed in front of me. No special tools needed. The filter can be found behind the glove box in a black tray. Open and unhinge the glove box. Pull out the tray and replace dirty filter with new. I was online looking for a price when I came here. I was charged too much for this simple task for sure $25-30. I will do it myself next time.

The only tool you will need is a Phillips screwdriver to remove two screws from the bottom of the glove box. Be careful when taking off the plastic door stop on the right side of the box...it merely snaps on and off the side of the glove box. I saved $77 dollars doing it myself by not going to the dealer...they wanted $90 bucks. The manual says nothing about how to do it yourself. The manual says to take it to the dealer. I hope this saves someone their money for an easy do it yourself fix. Best wishes!

I just did this replacement this morning and it took 2 minutes. The filter I used is a STP CAF 1781. The plastic door stop snaps off by pushing it to the back, the door drops down by squeezing both sides inward, then the door drops down. The filter tray has a catch on either side, squeeze them in and the filter tray slides out. Drop in a new filter, slide the tray back in until it snaps, pull up the door until it snaps then rehook the plastic stop by pulling it forward, throw all the useless junk back in the glove box and your done. The STP CAF 1781 filter is $22.25 at AutoZone.

Click the link. This will take you to a video I posted showing exactly how to change it.
