The reason most sites ask for your email is so that support and moderators on the website can get in touch with you.
- This is crucial when they are trying to educate you about rule violations you may accidentally be committing. It will look like you are ignoring the website about your accidental rule violations, so you could end up with a permanent ban.
- An email is also required for support to be able to get in touch with you when you request help.
