I've never heard of jump starting an a/c compressor. It's driven by a belt and not electricity.
yes
DISCONECT THE BATTERIE CABLE FOR 10 MINUTES ,AFTER YOU RECONNECT THE BATTERI YOU CAN CHARGE THE AC. COMPRESSOR
A lot of cars won't let the compressor kick on unless it has enough refridgerant. Try recharging the compressor all the way and if it still don't work, you might need a new compressor.
Jump the compressor relay next to the fuse panel under the hood. Pull the relay out and use a piece of wire to jump the contacts. Compressor will engage, with the engine running fill with your 134a.
You hook the red and black jumper cables to the red and black jump start posts under the hood on the passenger side.
1993-1997 you hook the cables to the battery. 1998-2004 you hook the cable to the jump start posts under the hood, passenger side.
To change the ac compressor you will have to first remove the old Freon. This needs to be reclaimed with a special machine. take care that the pressure is removed from the system before the hoses are removed.
Get a re-charge kit at Wal-Mart or auto parts - you can jump out pressure switch at top of accumulator/drier with paper clip to start a/c compressor--when pressure builds light should go out
Not sure what engine you have but it is highly unlikely the timing would jump being that it is driven by a chain. If it was to jump it probably wouldn't start and possibly backfire in the attempt to start.
Should be a pressure switch located on the top of the air drier/acculmulator -- jump this with a paper clip and clutch should pull in allowing you to charge system
You hook the cables to the jump start posts under the hood on the passenger side.
