Well if he likes as in to go out with you, you should pat attention to your conversations with him, does he show a special interest in having a conversation with you and once started, make an effort to keep that conversation going?
Is he the person who accidentally running into you in places where he knows you will be, such as your desk, laundromat on Tuesday's, your brother's birthday party?
Make a note if he mentions future plans to spend time with you: "That band is coming to town soon. we should really get tickets."
Does he spend time alone together, is he canceling other plans in order to be with you longer or not finding excuses to leave, could be a sign of interest.
Has he been calling for random reasons, such as, "I was wondering if you knew what that Pizza place down the street is called" followed by, "are you hungry?"
Has he taken a sudden interest in your life and hobbies, this is a sure sign he is interested in something.
Observe how he acts around your friends, he might be extra friendly to your closest pals for some reason.
Sometimes seeing someone you have a crush on results to telltale physiological signs. Does he blush when you look at him? Does he have trouble speaking, using jumbled words when talking to you?
See if he mirrors your motions: when you lean back, he leans back, when you pt elbows on the table, he does the same.
Note whether this person sits or stands in the open position, that is, facing you with arms uncrossed.
Does he move closer to you or touch you subtly, such as with a pat of your hand or touch of your cheek.
Does have frequent eye contact, holding your gaze and looking down before looking away, does he have energetic speech coupled with open and flashing palms of hands.
Does he smile at you alot.
If he does all this, most of these, yes he probably wants to you as a girlfriend. If he does not do any of these he does want to be your girlfriend.
