Great question - I fear many out there have S-10 blazers with fake ZR-2 Decals. I cannot list all of the differences but what you need to look for are the ZR-2 marking behind the glove box, also inside the front wheel well, on the outside of the vehicle (above the front tire). The ZR-2s have black fender flares as well but this is easily faked. When you put it next to a standard blazer it should look bigger - it's 2 inches taller and 4 inches wider than the standard blazer. It looks like a big brother.
there is a ton of information out there. start here and go to the external links at the bottom too:

You would come out cheaper finding a ZR2 and buying it, or trading your touring suspension Blazer. The Zr2 Has a wider wheel base, thus why they call it "widestance package" . Your best bet would be to get a suspension lift for your blazer, and that will actually exceed the Zr2 Suspension package. I recommend a BDS 6'' lift, but you can just google and find many choices. Hope this helps!

alternater is shot
well on my 01 zr2 blazer. its because it has a broken wheel stud on the left front. i don't know if that's your problem but that definatly makes the creak.
When you find out let me know I have same problem replaced blower fan and resisitor did not work. I have a blazer zr2 2002
I have a 2000 ZR2 it holds 19 gal.
i personally do not know but obvious thing to check are how many lugs the Chevy blazer has an how many the sonoma are measure distance from one lug to another on the sonoma an do same on the blazer to if it comes out the same then it may work but if ur sonoma is a 5 lug do not try it with say a 6 lug or 8 lug rims off the blazer an if this is a full size blazer it probaly wont work but smaller compact SUV blazer it probaly will work as long as they are either both 2wd or both 4wd...they will fit.....I believe all blazers and zr2's have 5 lug
Yes.
