Check with a voltmeter A fully charged battery should read approx. 12.8 volts without engine running When running reading should be approx. 13.8-14.2 volts
As far as I know you can not get a subaru legacy sti from the factory bu you could get an sti engine and put it in a legacy. That is the only way that I know of.

You have not provided enough information for me to know what you are asking.
Is the oil leaking and hitting exhaust? if so it is the o-ring in the oil pump. Subaru is known for that!
The gap on mine is .044. Its a 1990 Legacy. If this is not right somebody let me know.

There wont be any leaks, the car wont overheat and it will stay in the normal operating temperatures.
If it had a short it would blow a fuse. You probably have a faulty flasher relay.
i don't know if it helps, but my '99 legacy outback was making a knocking sound. turned out that the oring on the brake caliper pin had worn out, and the pin was kind of knocking around.
