Numerous things can go "wrong" with engines. Everything from sensors, to low compression, bearings spinning and being destroyed, to fuel issues! The best way to know for sure is to have a qualified mechanic look at it.
Look back!
When a person is going to make changes to their engine that require its removal they should know its weight. The B18b motor weighs 350 pounds.?æ

Disconnect wires from motor and check to see if you have power and ground going to motor--if so motor is bad if not have to check wiring and switch to that motor
Yes, What you have to remember is the bigger the motor the longer its going to last you. Its going to be stronger for pulling, Also if you dont strain the motor by pulling much its going to last long on miles vs the 4.8.L Yes, What you have to remember is the bigger the motor the longer its going to last you. It should, I am going to try to put one in mine, il let you know when I find out.
It should have a big label on the top of the engine, most common being a 3.4 V6 marked as 3400 Yes, I know how to tell the size of the motor. What I was asking was I've been told that there is 2 different models of the 3400. They ask if the Vin. # has a "K" in it or a "L" is what I'm seeing on the Internet as I'm looking up used motors to by for my Van. I don't know what the difference is between the 2 motors when they are the same size. It can't be manual or automatic? because they use the same motor to bolt on to either one of those transmissions when there going down the Assembly line. But I don't know why they tell you, you must check the Vin code for either of those 2 letters so you can know which motor you need. Even if I give them the number what makings are on there motor that is going to identify my "L" or "K" to that motor?
