How do you remove the rear bumper from a 1994 Toyota tarago?
Hi everyone after much research on the net and very little results, i went to the wreckers and finally worked out how to remove the rear bumper from the Toyota tarago/previa This is how you remove a rear bumper from 1990-2000 Toyota tarago or previas and maybe even the 2001-2013 models. There are two upper 10mm corner bolts under the mud guards or wheel arches that secure the ends of the upper corner bumper onto the body, remove the left and right one and store bolts in a container to reattach. Next there are two 10mm bolts on the lower corner of the bumper connected to a rail that is secured to the bottom of the floor pan of the van, remove the left and right one and store in your container (please note sometimes the 10mm rail bolts are difficult to remove, so remove the 12mm bolts that are connected from the rail to the floor pan instead. Some taragos/previas have a bull bar with a tow bar attached and some models may not, the bull bar is attached to brackets by 6 X 18 mm bolts 3 x 18 on the left and 3 X 18mm bolts on the right and the brackets are secured to the floor pan by 6 X 14mm bolts 2 X 14mm bolts on the left and 2 x 14mm bolts on the right are secured to the floor pan and 2 x 14mm bolts are secured to the reinforcement bar which the plastic bumper is attached too. If you have a bull bar attached to the brackets, it is recommended that you remove these 6 X 18mm bolts securing your bull bar to the brackets first, because if you remove the 6 X 14mm bracket bolts with the bull bar still attached you may injure your self when the bull bar drops down with the brackets. These are the last 6 X 14mm bolts that have to be removed, 4 x 14mm bolts secure the 2 brackets to the floor pan, 2 X 14mm bolts are on the left and 2 X 14mm bolts are on the right, the last 2 X 14mm bolts are secured to the reinforcement bar, they are the last 2 bolts to be removed, and then the plastic bumper which is attached to the reinforcement bar will simply slide out towards you as you pull on it, then you can remove the plastic bumper from the reinforcement bar. Dont forget the trailer plug is also attached to the bull bar or tow bar and will have to be removed or cut and reattached. Once the reinforcement bar with the plastic bumper is out, you will be able to access the lower bumpers 2 X 10mm center bolts and 2 X 12mm corner lower bumper bolts and then the 6 x 10mm upper bumper bolts, two of the bolts you couldn't see or access when you were desperately trying to find them and keep wondering why the bumper wouldn't come off. Finally store the foam between the bumper and reinforcement bar in a secure place and try not to forget them once your ready to reassemble everything like i did. Enjoy, another mystery solved.

How do you remove the front brake rotor from 2000 ford expedition?
Its pretty simple. Make sure you get the proper new rotors with either 12mm or 14mm holes in the rotors as the Expedition changed to 14mm sometime during production. Once the wheel is removed, you'll need to removed the caliper pins. A Torx-45 should fit for the pins. They are not tight so be careful not to destroy the fins on the bolt when removing it. Once the pins are removed, use a screw driver to force back the dual pistons so that the pads are free to move. Pull off the caliper and support it with a wire coat hanger twisted appropriately. The pads will then pull put from the sides of the rotor. Now remove the 2 bolts that attach the caliper mounting bracket. These bolts are very tight. Attach a closed end wrench to the bolt and bang it with a hammer until it moves. Use a quality wrench to not round off the bolts. From a hardware store acquire two 9/16 bolt/washer/nut sets of grade 8. Use this bolt/washer/nut assemble behind the rotor in the holes of the caliper mounting bracket. As you tighten the bolts they will apply pressure to the rotor. At the same time, apply heat with a MAPP gas torch to the rotor on the side where pressure is being applied. Heat the rotor and continue tightening the bolts until you hear a loud, possibly very loud, pop. At that point, back off the bolts, rotate the rotor 180 degrees, and repeat. This time there will be no pop, the rotor will just start to walk off the hub. Turn off the heat and continue rotating and tightening until the rotor is off. I used this procedure to change the rotors on my 2001 Expedition with 4wd. By the way, banging on the rotor will not work on the front rotors. Banging only worked on the back rotors.

First, remove the wheel. Then disassemble the brake calipers - two hex or star bolts located on the back which will require you to first remove the caps. Once the bolts are removed, the whole assembly should be able to slide of the rotors. Make sure you support the calipers somehow, do not just let them dangle from the connecting lines (They're fragile and can be easily be torn or pulled) Once the calipers are out of the way, the rotors are able to slide out. Remember to replace your pads if you're replacing the rotors, and bleed the brakes! I had a harder time bleeding the brakes after I did this than I did replacing the rotors.
