a good indication of blown head gasket is water in the oil. so if you pull oil dipstick the oil will be white and gooy.also oil in radiator is another indication, and collant leaking from area between head and block
That is an indication that head gasket is leaking. yes!
Bad head gasket Cracked head Cracked block
I have a 1995 Skylark and the gasket was replaced about 4 years ago and I've had no trouble at all. It's a V-6 3100 engine.
The 1994 Buick Century 4 cylinder head gasket will have to be removed and replaced. The head has to be removed, along with anything that is physically in the way of removal, before the head gasket can be removed.
I have a 1995 Skylark and that repair is at least $500.00 but it's worth it. The engine runs great now.
If you have the 3.3 engine then the answer is "NO". They do not have a history of blowing head gaskets. The other person probly had all different motorsI have a 98 Buick century (blown head gasket). My father in law has a 94 Buick century (blown head gasket). mother in law has 96 Pontiac grand prix ( has the same 3.1 liter engine as the Buick century) and guess what (blown head gasket). that's just my family. Very Very poor design by gm if you ask me.
Because the head gasket is blown.
what are you asking here? PLease be more specific ...like - how do I know if my head gasket is blown, or what do I do about a blown head gasket ......
After you replace your head gasket your compression in that side will be higher, I highly recomend to anyone that has to replace a head gasket that they do BOTH sides. With all the electronic checks that happen in newer vehicles a difference in compression can cause confusion in the electronics. poor fuel mileage try changing o/2 sensor sometimes blown head gasket wrecks sensor and causes poor gas milage
Sure it will start with a blown head gasket. But, if you continue to run this engine with a blown head gasket you will destroy the engine.
No it will not. The only thing that will fix a blown head gasket is to replace the gasket.
Never have seen a blown head gasket on one. You most likely need an upper intake manifold. This is a common problem the new replacments are made better and will last longer. Buick parts person for over 20 years.
